अलीपुर होम का खेल का मैदान बहुत बड़ा है। इतना बड़ा कि होम में बगीचे को साफ़ रखने वाले भी दो महीने में एक बार या फिर सा ६ महीने में एक बार साफ करते थे। खेल के मैदान के चारों तरफ ट्रैक बना था दौड़ने के लिए जिसपे कभी - कभी लडके दौड़ते थे। सही ढंग से देखभाल नही करने से खेल के मैदान में झाड़ियां उग गई थी और सर्प दिखना तो आम बात हो गई थी। एक दिन मै एक गार्ड का साइकल ट्रैक पर चला रहा था। खेल के मैदान में बड़ी - बड़ी झाड़ियां थी। और मै ट्रैक पर साइकल तेजी से चला रहा था। तभी अचानक से एक सर्प ट्रैक पर आ गया सर्प इतनी तेजी से निकला था। कि मैं साइकल नहीं रोक सकता था। तो मैंने अपने पैर पेडल से उपर उठा लिया और साइकल को सर्प पर चदा दिया। पहला चक्का तो पार कर गया लेकिन दूसरा चक्का फिसल गया मै तीन या चार मीटर दूर जाकर गिरा और गिरते हो साइकल छोड़ कर भागा पीछे मुड़ कर देखा भी नहीं थोड़ी देर बाद आया बड़ा डंडा लेकर साइकल के आस पास देखा की कही सर्प साइकल में फस तो नहीं गया है। लेकिन एंसा नहीं था। सर्प वहा से का चुका था। मैंने साइकल उठाया और ले जाकर जिसकी साइकल थी। और जहा वो खड़ा करता था। वहा खड़ा कर दिया। कुछ दिनों बाद होम में वाशिंग मशीन आ गई कपडे धुलने के लिए। और बिजेंद्र सर मुझे ही पकड़ते कपडे धुलने के लिए सभी लड़कों के कपडे मुझसे ही धुलवाते और पास में ही पतली सी डंडी लेकर बैठते थे। ताकि मै भागू नहीं।

The playground of Alipur Home is very large. So big that even those who kept the garden clean in the home used to clean it once in two months or once in six months. There was a track built around the playground to run on which boys sometimes ran. Due to lack of proper care, bushes had grown in the playground and it was common to see a snake. One day I was riding a guard's cycle on the track. There were big bushes in the playground. And I was cycling fast on the track. Then suddenly a snake came on the track, the snake had come out so fast. That I could not stop the cycle. So I lifted my foot off the pedal and put the bicycle on the snake. The first wheel has passed but the second wheel has slipped. I fell three or four meters away and fell, leaving the bicycle, ran back and did not even look. After a while, I came around the bicycle with a big stick and saw that the snake was stuck in the cycle. So it is not gone. But it was not. The snake had finished there. I picked up the cycle and carried it. And where he used to stand. He stood there. A few days later, the washing machine arrived at home to wash clothes. And Bijendra sir used to wash all the clothes from me and used to wash me with clothes and used to sit with a small stick nearby. So that I do not run.
